This seems to be a very good value. The wood is finger-jointed, the finish is is not top-shelf, and a few pieces had some minor scratches--mostly where they'll never show--but overall the quality is good, better than I expected for this price, the design is excellent, and it seems quite sturdy overall. Operation is straightforward. It has two sitting positions, one pretty upright, perfect for watching TV, and a more reclined one perfect for sleeping while pretending to watch TV. It does have to sit out about 9-10" from the wall if you want to fold it down without moving it. The queen size has a pretty high back, but I don't find it freakishly high, and I love that it's the same size as all the other beds in the house. (Don't you love it when you unfold a fitted sheet only to find it's the wrong size for the bed you're making?)Assembly would be a nightmare for those who detest such projects. Personally I thought it was a lot of fun, but then I'm one of those guys who used to build a lot of HeathKits. (For those under 60 you have no idea what you missed out on.) The instructions were quite clear and written in real English, but that said it would be easy to make a mistake and have the whole thing end in tears. My advice is to not be in a hurry, start in a good mood, and have at least one but no more than three beers while your doing it. Good luck and happy napping.
